Shenzhen Composite Index investment & finance definition

An actual market-capitalization weighted index of stocks on China’s Shenzhen Stock Exchange that tracks the daily price movement of all the shares on the exchange, including A-shares, which are available only to local investors, and B-shares, which are available only to foreign investors. The index began April 3, 1991, with a base price of 100.
