quick turn investment & finance definition

jargon for buying a security and then selling it right away, or vice versa. Day
traders attempt to make a profit by quick turning several small trades. Futures
traders also attempt to make a quick profit from small changes in price by
doing quick turns. Such traders are called scalpers.
