Country World Index, a free float-adjusted market capitalization index
that is designed to measure equity-market performance in the developed and
emerging markets throughout the world. There were 49 developed- and
emerging-market country indices included in the MSCI ACWI as of April 2002:
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia,
the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong
Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea,
Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan,
Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United
States, and Venezuela.
