A bond that is formed from a wide collection of collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs). The name comes from the saying that everything is included except the kitchen sink. The underlying bonds in a kitchen sink bond have a wide variety of different characteristics, such as credit quality, maturity dates, and prepayment dates. Kitchen sink bonds are the obligation that is created from a Secured Investor Trust.
