founder of Ford Motor Company, which created the first inexpensive,
mass-produced cars. In 1908, Ford introduced the low-cost Model T, which sold
for $850 to $1,000. Later the price was lowered to $300. Ford also is known for
creating a production line that removed excess movement and processes from the
production process. He also reduced the work day to eight hours from nine.
