Buffett, Warren investment & finance definition

A famed investor who took over the management of Berkshire Hathaway in 1964. Buffett shunned investments in technology during the bull market of the late 1990s. Although some pundits questioned whether Buffett had lost his touch, when the technology bubble burst, his strategy proved sound.

Some of Buffett’s investments include insurance companies Geico Corporation, General Re Corporation, and investments in the Washington Post Company. When Buffett buys companies, he looks for those that are undervalued, and he believes in keeping management in place. He is sometimes called “the sage of Omaha,” after the city where his company is headquartered.
